My husband was refused H4 visa under section 214(b). We have been wondering since then, so i called the DOS today and the lady said that they had inadvertently given him the wrong refusal reason. It is under 221(g).
Can anyone help me what does that mean other than my salary less than specified in the LCA. I am talking to my employer to somehow adjust that to match it.
Other than this, is their anything else that I can do, or I am supposed to do?
I don't know, the refusals under 221(g) require no appointment or another application fees, but my husband was given 214(b). So we have another appointment for oct 1st. How can I ask the US consulate in Delhi to correct their mistake, or should I just keep quite, and get the LCA matched to the salary, and let my husband go with another DD for the fees.
