Now Processing Date crossed long back, Nothing happened, please help

Service Center processing date for Vermont posted on Oct 30, 2006 specifies that they are now processing I-485 with a receipt notice date of August 08, 2005.

RD for my I-485 is July 19, 2005. I have no update on my case so far. Should I call VSC? or wait... How do I know If my case is pending on Name Check? Please help.

See my case details below. Our VSC dates are very close. I think, you can call them. But most likely they will ask you to wait till the VSC processing date for I 485s indicates a date of August 19, 2005 and beyond for ur case.

We are stuck in name check..or they are very backlogged! god knows...

No news from VSC

What is your category ? EB3?

My I-485 receipt date is Aug-1-2005 and it is also still pending...? EB3.
Labor certificate and I-140 approved, PD is May-1-2002
2 rounds of EAD and parole documents already (Very expensive)

What should i do next? What should i expect next?

Are you from India or non-retro country? For India visa dates are not current for EB3 for May-2002.

I am not from India, non retrogressed country, EB3 is at 1 Aug 2002...
 
My Notice Date for I-485 is 08/08/2005. I haven't seen any thing change since last update 09/17/2005. My I-140 was approved in Feb. 06.
 
join the club! welcome to the stuck in name check club!! I am just making assumptions. your case might not be in name check...but a lot of us with no approvals are stuck in name check.

Can you give me a clue how do you know you are stuck in name check? By calling Vermont? I want to find out too.

Labor certificate and I-140 approved, PD is May-1-2002, Current visa Bulletin is at Aug, 2002 (past my PD)
2 rounds of EAD and parole documents already (Very expensive)

I did not hear anything from VSC but on Oct 19, 2006 there was new date on the I-485 status on their web site...Message still sayin "Fingerprints completed..resuming proccessing" (smae message since Oct, 2005)

should i call VSC ?

What to do...

VSC released another version of "now processing with receipt notice date of" today (dated Nov 17, 2006). That says they are now processing cases with a rd of Feb 15, 2006. What a leap...

I called VSC today. Service rep has no idea. She opened a service request for me and told me that I will be hearing from VSC within 45 days about the status of my case.

You might be right njrirlabor. Ours might be in Name check or something. What will happen if its in Namecheck. How long it takes. Is there a way we speed up the process or just to wait with fingers crossed?

I had a slight twist to my case. Basically, I am screwed. My case got transferred to Newark for "a standard" interview on last friday. Just before the date jumped to Feb 2006. So i am screwed. I am sure I am stuck in name check, as my lawyer confirmed it after checking with an examiner in TSC( whoms she known very very well!). Also, my lawyer claims she is still trying to have my case transferred from VSC to TSC ( so she can keep a better tab at using her contact in TSC!). But in the mean time the case got transferred to Newark, now she says she is trying to have my case transferred to TSC from newark. Apparently, there is a way to pull applications from one service center/ district office to another....

essentially I am screwed, as I am likely to get interviewed...
