Nov AC21 RFE Case Approved

if you care to know, our (wife & myself) I-485 applications have been approved.

It's an AC21 case.

details:

RD: 11/13/2001
ND: 12/08/2001
FP: April 2002, wife re-did her's in May due to initial unclear result
RFE: 4/2/2003
RFE Response received: 4/24/2003
AD: 5/9/2003

Received approval notice 5/15 in mail. Stamp shows it was mailed out on 5/13

On-line and AVM still show old messages. So, for those people who are waiting for RFE response, check your mail box also, you may get it as a surprise...

1. Did you inform INS of job change & your intention to use AC21
2. What was the RFE for.

To answer eternity's questions:
1. No, I did not inform INS about job change. I waited for RFE and then replied
with employment letter and paystubs from the new employer.

2. RFE was a standard one: pay stub, emp letter, W2 and Tax returns

My general feeling about AC21 is that as long as you have a similar job at the end of the process, you will be approved. Salary or geo location is not that critical for decision making.

Employment letter (AC 21) - RFE

Hi,

Is there anyway you can mail me or post the Employment letter you had mailed out to INS in response to the RFE you received after you changed the company after 180days of 485 (AC 21). please send it to graopv@yahoo.com

I have also received an RFE after I changed company after 180 days of applying 485 and I did not inform INS earlier.

Would very sincerely appreciate your help
