Nov 2003 filer eventually got I140 approved

I got my EAD twice , latest got approved Dec 05. Never applied for AP. Does that mean my name is not in security review ?
BMT74:- How and where did you inquiry initiated ?
Thanks

I called USCIS national customer service no. (800) 375-5283..and follow the prompts until you hear -- if your case is outside of processing time.

You know, this might be an enhancement to their system recently. After you initiate an inquiry, you will receive the response in mail within a week or two. Rightnow, they are responding via email. I received the following email within a few mins after I spoke with the customer service rep.

email address

bmt74, can you share the email address you get email from with me? I got a copy of the letter in last Aug when my attorney initiate the inquiry on my I485 case. Since my I140 is approved and I got out of the security hole, I think I should push on my I485 cases. Most people filed at my timeline already got their I485 approved about 1 year ago.

Thanks

bmt74: Could you please tell if you called USCIS yourself or your company ? Also which email address you gave to them , I mean yours ? Can you give them personal email address like, yahoo or something ?
Thanks in advance

gc_nov,

This email id is probably from a uscis system with the customer support representative name in front. I had also got one when I did initiate a new inquiry by calling uscis.

punjabi,

That email is for inbound only. If you are the applicant, you can call them. For example, if you have applied EAD or AP renewal by yourself, you have the right to ask for a status. You can give your personal email to them such as yahoo (that's what I did).

On the other hand, for I-140, your employer or attorney should call them.

Thanx bmt74, I was thinking to call about I140 , my stincking employer seems like did not hire attorney although he got money from me, now he said I can call USCIS on behalf on them ? He gave me company fedral id etc ?
How should I persue ?
Thanks
Anit

That is not nice of him. Three options:

1) I know some people call CIS as if they are the employers. But it is not the right thing to do. You can try his advice.

2) You call CIS, but have your employer in conf., if he is willing to do that

3) If any of the above doesn't work, contact your congressman and senator. They will inquire on behalf of you.

punjabi007,

Call 1-800-375-5283 and after a bunch of options talk to a customer service rep. Tell them that you are the petitioner ( if it's I 140) and be prepared to give them tons of information like the date application was filed, if there are any RFE's then the date it was responded and your company address and phone number and email id and fax number. Then the stupid person took all this information will give you a confirmation number and ask you to wait for 30 days to hear something from you. I just did all this for my I 140 pending since long. All I have to do is wait another 30 days to get a status (hopefully).

Hope this helps.
