NOTICE TO APPEAR while new AOS package sent

HI,

Please help:

I came to the USA over a year ago as M1 student and also to be with my fiancee. We got married and sent AOS package , after interview and AOS denied lack of evidence. My wife has an horrible credit history and we couldn't even have her name on our lease.
Our lawyer adviced us to sent a new AOS package to USCIS instead od filing for an appeal, what we did. USCIS recieved the new AOS package on Friday July 11Th, by Wed July 16th I had a Notice to appear for removal on condition. Reason: I overstay my M1 visa, which ended June 13th. No mentionned of new AOS package. what happend???

I want to change lawyer but I don't know what my options are. Next week I need to find a good removal/dportation lawyer in Chicago (any suggestion?). Until then I would lik eto have some imput about my case.

I have no clue where to start. At all.

Yes I know, but I'll just be choosing depending on the next availability since I'm in rush now. It's as bad as choosing the cheapest!!!!
A name bades on someone experience would be great.
