Hello All: I finally got the approval notice through email and the case status changed to "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident". I have been a silent observer on this portal and appreciate all the inputs provided by everyone on various steps of GC processing to help out others.
Here are my case details:
EB-2 (India) - PD: Apr 02 (TR)
Converted to RIR: Jan 07
LC approved: Mar 07
I-140 (AD): Mar 07 (Premium Proc)
I485 (RD): Apr 07
FP1 (Code3): Jun 07
EAD (AD): Jul 07
AP (AD): Jul 07
I485 (AD): 11/15/07 - Only one LUD after FP, No RFE's
After 180 days of 485 filing, I did the following to keep track of Name Check status and maybe it helped:
1. InfoPass Appointment: 2 days after completion of 180 days. Was told by IO that my NC not cleared but my wife's cleared.
2. Called NSC a few days later and spoke to IO and got the same message.
3. 2 weeks back wrote a letter to Congressman asking to help expedite security clearance.
4. I485 approved on 11/15/07
Total time for approval since 485 RD ~ 7 months)
Total time for entire GC processing: 5 Yrs, 7 Mo
