A friend of mine is going to India using AP. He is flying Air India via Paris. Does he need a transit visa for France? He is flying this weekend. Please let me know if anyone has some info. about this

None Required.

Please search for prior posts. This has been discussed a million times in this forum.

Also we have current members (incl me) who went this route and did not require a transit visa.

SO... INDIA via Paris from NEWARK On Air India = no Transit Visa.

why not ur friend ?

You must be a really nice friend, as he himself didnt bother to ask the question of search the forum.......

Even though if paris needs transit visa , if he is travelling VIA paris by AIR INDIA , he or she cannot come out of the carrier , those destination is paris will get down rest of them stay in carrier. AIR INDIA will stop for 1 hr at paris for FUEL and to upload the food and other things. More over ther is no TRANSIT VISA for PARIS

Visa is required

We called Air India first and they were extremely rude and did not give any info whether the visa is reqd. Called the French Consulate in NY - very helpful and nice. The lady said the visa is reqd now. And that it will processed right away
