Ok,so sorry for asking the obvios but do i need to submit biometrics and medical exam with an original i-485 application for LPR or do i have to wait till they ask me to?
Got assylum in february 2005.

Thank You guys for helping out!!!

You have to get your biometrics done when they send you a writen request to do so.

As for the medical exams, you can submit them with your application, but the thing is that they're only good for like 1 year, so if your case is not resolved in that time window you'll have to send them new ones. I submited my application, and like 2 weeks later i got a letter from immigration requesting biometrics and medical exams. For the biometrics, they'll give you an appointment to your closest service center, which can be re-scheduled if the time is not convenient to you, make sure you take the letter you receive from immigration, and a valid picture id.

Good luck.

So without medical the initial i-485 app. wouldn't be considered incomplete?

Thank you for fast responce!!!!

NO, it will not be considered incomplete without the medical.

But, if I were you I will send it, they are working faster now. Also, the officer who will receive your application MIGHT put more interest and process it faster. Just my opinion.

Sorry; Your question is not as easy as it may sound. You have no control over the biometrics. They will send you a notice and you have to do it once you recieve the notice. As for the medical goes, I should advice you that you submit only the application. Then once they recieve some time down the road they will ask you to do it. Also you can submit the medical along the application, but the problem is in most cases immigration informations officers who review the files before adjudication do not review the whole file. Regardless of whether you submit medically initially or not they will ask you to do it which is some times confusing. If you choose to submit now and they ask you to do it later before it expires should write to them and remind them that you submitted the medical with the initial application. In each case, file the application as soon as posible. Good luck

Bottom line, your application will not be sent back to you as incomplete for not sending the medical exams, as long as you send the rest of the required documentation. They will ask for your biometrics and medical exams within a month of having sent it.

In my case, when I applied in Nov 2005, I had not submitted my medical with it. They send me a letter saying that my file is incomplete because I didn't submit my medical and told me to send it by a certain date (I believe they gave me about a month to do it). They didn't send the whole applicaton because it was not complete, but just a letter with a barcode on it. So, you don't send it, it's not a problem, they will ask for it.

About the G-325A, I had submitted that with my application because at that time, it was listed as one of the things to submit. Now they have removed it from the list. But I know a perosn who didn't submit with the initial application, and all they did was they asked her to send it when they needed it. It's up to you. I don't think it matters either way. But if I were you, I'd just do whatever is listed on the new requirement. Send whatever they ask, and don't send things they don't ask.

Good luck!

Hmm,so summing all up:

Bottom line- you don't have to send medical but if you do it will speed things up if your paperwork got into the hands of a good IO :)

Your paperwork is complete without it but will not start processing till after they have recieved medical and fingers?

Thank you guys for helping out for i am very dillusional about all that mess with papers ( my biggest problem :) ) .

Hi Strory,

WHAT I-94 # TO USE?: Use your newest I-94.
INSPECTED BY THE OFFICER: means you came in legally and you were seen by an IO at POE
4 COPIES INSIDE G-325A FORM: each copy goes to different person I think. If you have the original form, it has a carbon copy so that you fill it only once. But if you downloaded the form online, you will have to fill it 4 times.

I hope this answers your questions.

I also sent Medical report with my application with my Attorny's advised. I never asked me any other documents or have not received any RFE. USCIS sent me a Bio notice within a week. Its been about 9 months since I filed the application and still waiting decision.............Let see the out come....

Thank you everybody for the info. Its funny i was on the phone with ins customer service and the girl new nothing! We had to read the forms together, lol.
I am leaning towards submiting the medical with the app. , maybe it will speed things up a bit :).

Hey I was thinking - they have a "premium service" for the employment based
application 1000 bucks and you have a green card in half a year. How come we don't have that option. I would've payed 1k to just get it over with!
