Hi,
Did anybody have idea abt this Non-RIR Category for labour certification process?????
My company started doing it. I want to know the risks & -ve\'s in this. company is going to bear all the expenses.
What is the major difference? How long it takes to get labour certification under non-RIR category for vermount center?

non-rir category

non-rir category or regular labor processing is quite a time consuming process compared to RIR. as far as pros and cons go RIR has a major advantage of getting your labor certification faster, but I heard if one\'s employer did layoffs now they are doing more scrutiny for rir-cases.

I did non-RIR....

...and the SESA part took 11 months, but it could have been faster but even my own company slowed it down for me. After that I don\'t see a difference as in ATL both the RIR and non-RIR shows 12/01. But in case I won\'t get any problems due to layoffs than I will be happy that I went the non-RIR way. As for now I am waiting for the Regional DOL to send my LC. (EB3)

I have submitted my labour certificatiobn (non rir) in August 2002 and still have not heard anything back.

Any idea or estimate, how much time will it take.
