Thanks

cheper ones

you can get cheaper ones, use 110 to 220 converters. they are available as low as $20 @ walmart.

Bose is expensive, but sound is awesome... :)

You definitely DON'T want to use a cheap walmart type converter with a BOSE system.

What do you want? A good one or a cheap one?
Buy nakamichi system with an onkyo receiver if you want a nice one.
Buy norcent from target if you want a cheap one. (price ratio is 1:15)

This really depends on how it is going to be used in the country you are taking it to. Most of the indian DVD's do not have DTS, just surround which can be achieved by a cheap home theater system too. If you are in finer things, compare bose and nakamichi and you will know for yourself.

Buy it in India

Almost everything is available there and you are covered if something goes wrong. Price is almost the same.
