Hi all,
I have a question about my wife's H1.
my wife is on H1 from a Non-Profit organization, she has still around 2 years left
now she applied for a new H1 from a Profit organization on april 2007 and as she had done MS she got H1 under 20K quota
visa she got has a new I-94 and both I-94 and I-797 has validity period from OCT 1st 2007 to Sep 1st 2010
that means she got H1 for next 3 years and it looks like a new visa which is valid for 3 years and extendable for another 3 years
so this means she spent 4 years under current visa and now she can work for another 6 years on new H1 from OCT 1st
we thought we will get visa for only 2 years, but she got a new H1 valid for another 6 years
is this correct as per the law or is USCIS has done some mistake
