Is there any requirement on staying minimum amount of months in USA to include wife and kids in tax filing?
Please through some answer.

I believe they need to meet SPT - the Substantial Presence Test. That means at least 183 days calculated by the following formula:

days this year + (days last year / 3) + (days 2y ago / 6)

That doesn't seem right.... but do a google search on SPT and it'll give you the right numbers.
