If you are on programming side & want to be on safer side, I would suggest your skill should be intermediate level on following technologies .. Web Programming(Asp.net/jsp), Little Networking, couple DataWH tools (BO,cognos) , Databases (oracle,sql), XML related tech, little knowledge of ERP and expert level on any one of your choice.

You never know where you'll get your next JOB.
