Non immigrant visa number for H1B visa holder

Hi guys... Can anyone tell me what is the Non immigrant visa number for H1B visa? I read that the number in red on your visa is the visa number, but when I did an INFOPASS appointment, the female there told me that the only number she has ever used is the Control number on the visa stamp. Any ideas?

I had the same question when filling the forms with my wife. I did research on the internet and from what I found the visa number is the red number.
