Non-availabilty of Birth Certificate

Friends:

I need help on my birth cetification situation. I do not have a BC and I am no sure if my birth was even registered when I was born in India.

I have affidavits frm two of my relatives that I was born on such & such date. I used these affidavits to get through during my GC stage.

Now that I hear there is a form that needs to be provided by the local civic auhorities if one does not have a BC! My time is comig up in the next few months and I need to be ready to apply for N400.

A birth certificate is not a requirement for N-400.
