Non annotated Business Visa

Hello Folks,
My brother in law has a 10 yrs multiple entry B1 got from his present
employer, issued in Jan 2005. He visited US on Feb. The visa is
not annotated. ( No companies name is printed on the visa)
Can he visit another company in the USA for business discussion? Or
does it have to be ONLY to the first company?

If there is no caveat, he can come on through another company ieth a letter from the new company and business inviatation from the US company as a back up.
