No Rfe/Approval. 2.5 months after 2FP.

Hi,

I feel i have missed the boat. Mostly people get RFE/Approval atmost
within 2 months of 2FP. If you are also on this side of the water with me,
lets find out what is common with our cases.

2FP : 05/18/2004
3RD EAD mailed on 18 July, 2004. Receipt not received.
3RD AP not applied.

Long time back, I guessed that USCIS has to recieve payment for 3rd EAD.., so as to get reiumbursment for 2nd FP..., I may be wrong. Since you have just applied for 3rd EAD, you will either get an RFE or approval (most probably approval).
 
i did my 2nd Fp on April 29th and still no RFE/Approval yet.

My 485 RND is Oct3rd 2002.

I guess they have not touched our cases yet. I have not moved during my 485 process till now.

I have already applied for my spouse's EAD on May 24. I am hoping that this should trigger spose's approval (derivative) and hopefully mine should follow. Is this reasonable expactaion ??

I said it as my guess. Also, from this forum, I had observed that, members claimed that either EAD and 485 got approved on the same day or 485 got approved and one day later EAD got rejected..., implies..., to process EAD, 485 has to be verified..., since EAD application is based on 485 pending. If everything is ok..., as well approve 485. USCIS saves money, in not spending time on two cases separately. This looks obvious.
For some other cases, RFE was triggered within 10-15 days of 3rd EAD application... What should we guess???

I do not agree totally but I wish and hope that would be the case. You all get RFE, but strongly believe, will get approval without RFE.

OhioApp - GC on its way and I wish you'll get ur approval very soon.

I got my approval last friday.

OhioApp: I applied for my 2nd EAD on Nov 2003. I am getting ready to apply for my 3rd EAD in a month. I hope EAD application should trigger the Approval/RFE for our 485. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
 
My 2nd FP notice was received on 5/24/2004 immediately after I applied for 3RD EAD and 3RD AP. My 2nd FP was done on 7/2/2004 as scheduled and I observed that last week there were lots of activities in my I-485 LUD.

On 7/30 my EAD was approved. currently I don't see any activity on my 485. So I am not sure if the activities that happened last week was because of EAD approval or that my 485 is close to RFE/approval.

Looks like there is a possibility that EAD could trigger 485 rfe/approval/LUD date change. If it is true, then ......

AwtngGC - You should hear something in coming few weeks.

I think all these theories are invalid. My RD/ND is Sept 5th /12th. 2nd FP done on May 12th. No updates on my case after that..Not even LUD changes. I applied for 3rd EAD after May12th and got approval of 3rd EAD on July 20th. Even then no change on my 485 status.. I was hoping that my 3rd EAD would trigger something. No it didn't. I saw another guy with the same Sept5th/12th RD/ND got approval last week.. My case..it appears has fallen thru a hole somewhere.

Our Second FP was done on Apr 29 2004. And we applied for 3rd EAD on June 16 2004. Our RD is Sep 24 2002. Our Online message was not changed from Day 1. Waiting for RFE or Approval. Been with the same employer from the DAY the G.C was applied....

Looks like for those who did their FP end of april/may 1st week nothing has changed. Let us keep this thread active so when ever one of us find a change in our status let us post it here so that we would get some information out of it.
