I have sent AR11 for me and my wife a month ago for address change. No response/acknowldegement from them. What to do?

GC approval date 9/2004.

Hi RealCanadian,

Thanks for your quick reply.

If CIS not update their DataBase, Some time later CIS might ask, what is the proof that I have applied for AR11?

I am loosing peace here. Any way to resolve this.

Also, I guess you must be Canadian PR/Citizen.

I am seriously considering to apply Canadian PR soon to handle CIS troubles while applying for Citzenship (ie a Backup plan). What's your opinion.

Applying or after getting PR from Canada..will it affect getting US Citizenship.

Thanks in advance.

Send it certified mail. Save the receipt.

You're worried about Naturalization???? Compared to the whole GC process, the N400 is a piece of cake. You are worrying so much that it is likely that you will die of excessive stress long before your 5 years are up, or Canadian Immigration gets back to you.

Besides, if you take up Canadian Permanent Residence, USCIS could logically claim that you have abandoned your GC. You can then go to Canada as just another immigrant whose foreign credentials and experience are ignored. Canada is the fifth or sixth largest source of immigrants to the USA for a reason.

Hi TheRealCanadian,

Thanks for your mail.

As i said, it was my back up plan. Because, i am violating all the requirements to be a US citizen.

1.Worked for the sponsorer for just 2 months. That too 6 months after i got GC. Now i am working for different company.

2.Sooner i am planning to start my business in different field.

Considering the above factors, i might have tough time with Citizenship application.

Your input is very useful. I will give up the idea to apply for Canadian PR. ;)

Thanks once again.

Based on what's been going on in the past year or two, I don't forsee any significant difficulties for your citizenship application.
