no receipt number yet

hi
i had applied for my H1 (for masters quota i am in my OPT)
My employer said Uscis had received my package by july 2nd week
but still did not get the receipt yet
then my employer siad they had applied for premium processing
2 weeks back but still i didnot get any receipt ..
they didnot send any package back
i really dont know whats happening
can any one help me in this

Its possible, your employer is lying . It happened to me. Almost every alternate day, I used to call him for the receipt number. When He gave me the receipt number and I checked the status on uscis, I came to know, my application was filed 1 month after the date what was told to me.
You can also cross check by calling uscis and tell them you didn't receive the receipt number. You have to be attorney or company to make that call.

When you say second week of july, can u be specific. Because I applied in third week and didn't get any EAC/LIN number.

H1 papers back

hi everyone
i had applied for h1 under masters quaota
my papers reached ins on 17th of jully
but i got my papers back yesterday saying i am not in quaota
but the quata was over only on 26th of july 2006
i realy dont know what to do
my employer said they will apply again saying i was in the quota
can any one tell me what r my options plzzzzzzz

If you have evidence that the package sent by your employer or attorney reached USCIS on 17th then you can fight with USCIS. Otherwise, pretty much use your OPT to work until next year.
