No online ackment till now from NY

Sent Application on 10/17/06
Recevied by them on 10/18/06

When I check the online status it says
"Application with this number not yet Acknowledged"
Any one in this situation.

It takes about 30 days, if you read through the signatures of different people in the trackers. Wait for another 2 weeks before worrying about it.
 
Newyork seems to be very quick responding/ processing OCI application. Lately at NY, on average it is taking one month for start to end of the OCI approval process. I mailed the application to NY on 10/18, Received on 10/19. Acknowledged on 10/26. Waiting for the document at NY so that I can send my passport. Wait for another week before start following up.
 
I have a feeling that you are entering wrong number. This is very common if you are entering 0 as o or vice versa. Can you see your name when you enter the number?
My friend had posted his application on October 25th and he is able to see his status as under process.
