I just checked the VSC-AVM and found that our I-485 was approved (on APril 9th) !!
I was pleasantly surprised because my ND is Jan 14, 2000 (PD Jan 1999 - EB1). I didn\'t want to believe it so I checked for my wife\'s application and the msg said that was approved too!
It has not sunk in yet but I know it will be a big relief ! I never called the IIOs since I was afraid I might lose my temper with their callous answers. But was well informed about the process - thanks to Rajiv Khanna and this wonderful forum !
here\'s my question: Can I get the passport stamped in any INS office or should I go to the state where my application was filed from ?
