NO JOB and NO APARTMENT for 7 months

I quit my company in sept 2002 and took a long sabbatical for about 120 days outside US because I was burnt out by long work hours.

I came back to US in dec 2003 and then stayed for 2 months with no job at a friend's place.

Then I went on vacation again for 30 days in feb 2003 coming back to US in march 2003.
I found a new job in march 2003 and moved from friend's house to a new apartment.
Since then, I have been in US for 2 years and 3 months.

So totally, I was with NO JOB and NO APARTMENT leasing history for almost 7 months.
But I did not take any unemployment benefits since I had quit my job voluntarily. Furthermore, I also filed my tax returns for the duration I had worked.

Should I wait for 7 more months to become eligible to apply for N-400?

Also am I supposed to stay 2.5 years continously in US with no vacation before being eligible to apply?

thats confusing about wait for 7 months to complete 3 years...
You appear to be applying for USC based on employment. Should you not check if you have completed 5 years..... (90 days short of that..)

Assuming that you have had your GC for 5 years (or 4 yrs 9 months).

Please go through the worksheet in "guide to naturalization".

Go to page 55. I think this is the best place for you to have your questions about continuous / out of country answered.

Vacation, unemployment does not affect your citizenship process.

Hope this helps
