No income is a problem?

I am about to apply n400. I had income 2009 and 2010. I didn't have any income for 2008.
Me and my wife always filed join return, where I am a primary. For 2008 my wife had income.

1. When they see TAXes for 2008, will they be able to identify based upon joint return that I had no income?
2. If they do see I had no income, is that a problem?

Thank you!

If you were not supposed to file (due to low or no income), it is not an issue.
They can ask you to prove how you supported yourself with no income. If the spouse is working and can demonstrate this, again it is not an issue.

Whether or not you had any income is irrelevant to your naturalization eligibility, so it should not cause any problems.

Me and my wife filed join return for 2008. So, I look at tax form 1040, there is no way to see how much I made and how much my wife did.
I am not sure in what format IRS sends taxes to INS. So, my question to those who actually saw the format of the tax form INS receives from IRS.

IRS does not send any tax information to USCIS. The only tax documents that the IO will see are those that you will provide yourself. You only have to provide tax documents (tax return transcripts) if you are applying based on 3 years of marriage to a U.S. citizen or if you had some extended trips abroad that may call into question your continuous residency requirement. For all other applicants tax return transcripts are not even asked for.
