No Hope

Just spoke with IIO in TSC, actually I was not expecting that I will be connected but unlucky me that I did:

- Asked if they have received my wife's 2nd FP, she said they are unclassifiable and after they get 2 unclassifiable FPs they do not reschedule another one, as 2 unclassifiable FPs are accepted as FP done.

- Told me my FP was accepted but mostly mine will expire before approval (FP : 2/12/03) saying they are processing Nov. 2000 cases.

- 485 approval department completely at a standstill. They have appointed a new manager today so hopefully things might improve but you never know.

- Suggested that about 3 months before my FP expire write a letter to 485 supervisor suggesting that FPs will waste their and my money and if case can be looked at.

- For my wife if there is an RFE for FP then get a letter from the local Police or Sheriff department saying she does not have any criminal history.

I am just disappointed and given up hope for now, until some miracle happens very soon....

Don't worry. Things will work out at the end. Just hang in there.

BTW, when is your ND? We saw 2 ADs for people who did their FP in 01/2003 (see http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79096 for more info). By the looks of it, this AD process seems random. You never know ... your case might be next.

Bajis is right, don't get discouraged.

For your application, if you get close to FP expiring, call them back. Ask for the case officer's number and his fax. I was told that you can fax the officer directly if your FP is expiring and you may have a better chance of getting it through. Do this about 3 months in advance so that there is enough time to approve. Yuo still have almost a year before they expire.
