No GC_In exile_coming on B1_Will exile period starts again

I had completed my 6 years of H1 and I have no GC under processing..so no way to extend H1. My one year exile period is already started, which means I am out of US for last two months.

Now my current employer wants to send me to US on B1 visa. My question is after coming on B1 visa will my exile period will start from zero.

My attroney from pervious US employer says NO..it won't reset. According to him it's just you can not enter US on H1 for next one year. However I am hearing other way round from some word of mouth.

Any help is appreciable to resolve this confusion.

It is not an exile period. You can reenter in any other visa. However to get back on H1, you have to wait a continuous 1 year outside US.
 
So the period did resets

So if I visit on B1, my wait period (1 year) starts again when I return back form B1 visit.

This is contradicting what my attroney said. At any rate I am not going to take chance.
