This is what my company\'s lawyer sent me. Hope it helps.
Some clarification on the National System.
Last October, TSC changed toa National Fingerprinting system since they have the largest volume of 485 cases out of all 4 Service Centers.
Anything filed after May 1, 2001 was thrown into the national system. Therefore in their system if the SRC number is less than SRC 01 160..... they cannot (do not have access to pull out of the national appointment scheduling system) to order a manual print notice. (the number they use is based on the volume in the system)
They try to schedule prints only when they are close to the processing, however some are called sooner when a child is going to turn 21 (or "age out"

my nd was 1/01 and I recieved notice for fp in 4/02. i did not even think I would receive a fp notice so soon as many people expect to. I know of people who got fp notice done a few months after they filed in 1999, 2000 and then had to wait and redo fp. a few may get approved but that is a fluke , hope my expeience helps.
