No FP for the primary applicant but derivative got it almost 15 months ago

I am the primary applicant and mine is a concurrent filing with I 485 ND of march 11 2003. My spouse got the FP notice in 2003 and the finger prints were received on May 29, 2003. But till data i have not received the FP notice. Is is noraml ? Are there any such people like me? If so please share your details.

Iam also in the same boat but iam waiting for my second fp.my spouse got second fp in march,2004.

Iam primary applicant.
 
I went through the same thing. Details are in my signature. Last weekend I did my First FP and my wife did Second FP.

Looking at the dates CIS is processing for FP, I have a feeling that they will soon be sending you Finger Printing Notice.
 
I did my FP1 on Aug 13' 04. No LUD so far.

Any one with same FP1/FP2 dates with LUD changes?

My 485 Rd is the same as yours i.e 3/11/2003, I did my first FP on 5/15/03 and VSC received same on 5/20/03, MY LUD has been 7/23/04 ; 8/16/04 - I am expecting 2nd FP shortly as my 1st FP have expired - My guess is that in the next couple of months or sooner you shall hear something from VSC ...

I think it is quite normal that spouse and primary applicant get the FP notices at different times. For instance my spouse got her FP2 notice in March 2004 (but our attorney's office messed it up and informed my after three months). I got the FP2 notice in June 2004. I went to USCIS local office with spouse and explained the situation. They verified it in the computer and allowed both of us to get the FP2 done on the same day.

Even after nearly two months after the FP2 our case status is not updated. I enquired with FBI and they said that the FP2 results were sent on the same day they received them for review. This is a separate story, of course.

In essence, it seems that there is no rule that spouse and primary should get the FP notices together.

But you can always ask your attorney to send a letter to USCIS requesting for FP (I don't know, if it works).
 
I did 1st FP on 8/18/2004 and on line status still shows "on 3/19/2003 received 485 application" message.
