According to your dates above, are you saying that INS received your 485 application on 12/04/2001 (RD) and you received a receipt from INS on 12/04/2001 (ND) (same day) and then received EAD 23 days later and AP 25 days later.

If this is true, TSC has done a REALLY FAST job on your case, which is unheard of OR I'm confused about the dates.

Please explain.

In my case I had sent the I-485 application on Nov 31th, they received it on Dec 4th. and RD and ND both was Dec 4th when I received my receipt, EAD and AP was processed with in a month as mention earlier.

NO FP yet,. Anyway we could collectively bribe TSC and get the work done,
 
there is hope...i think...

i heard from a friend who heard from his friend that he received his Fp from TSC. His RD is around june or july 2001.

our mutual friend left on a vacation to india so i couldn't get details.... but i suppose posting something positive will give everyone on this forum waiting for some glimmer of hope...

I love this forum. If nothing else it lets us all know there are lots of us suffering together. My ND 11/19/2001, got my EAD and AP like clockwork in Dec 2001. Still waiting on FP. RELAAAAAX GUYS. SOME OF YOU SOUND CLOSE TO A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN. NOTHING CAN BE AS BAD AS THE LAST FEW YEARS.

Switching to Consular Processing
 
PUPAK ...

PUPAK... can you do that? can you switch from AOS to Consular processing? what is the total time it takes to complette consular processing if you switch now, would it take as long as someone who applied for CP from the very beginning?

Basically, I am just wondering how much time will it set you back.

I am getting impatient too....but I am not sure if switching to CP now would be the way to go after waiting this long..

Consular processing time depends on several factors. The most important is whether the U.S. Consulate in your home country accepts Attorney Certified I-140.

Do the research at www.immihelp.com under "Consular Processing" and "AC-I-140"

If the consulate accepts AC-I140, the whole process can be done from start to finish in 3 months.
