U should be happy. U get it early, they expire early. So, if u get it late u have a better chance of avoiding the second FP.

My RD is 5/9/03..no FP Notice yet, i think we should relax ...may be we get 2nd FP Avoided
 
it is on the way...

MY ND is April16, 2003. we are scheduled for FP on Feb 13th. FP is on the way...

Are you guys talking about your first FP? I thing they started
delaying sending out the first FP notice so as not to expire it
during the 2+ years long wait. So, if your RD is like May or June 2003, you would be doing your first FP these days (Jan/Feb '04).

If your RD is in may 2002, and you are still waiting for your
first FP, that is very rare and you should be asking questions.

If your RD is in 05/2002 and waiting for the second FP notice,

In my case, FP notices came to me both ways - one set (for self
and wife) came directly, later another set - originals, no copies -
came thru attorney's office. This was in June '02 when we rcvd
our first notice. This time around, only my wife has got the
second FP notice - that also came both directly and thru the
attorney's office.

I think these days USCIS/BCIS/INS is taking upto 9 months
(from RD) before sending the first FP notice, so I dont think
u hv to start worrying yet.
 
Yes, I'd think so.

In my case, notices we received from BCIS as well as
the attorney were originals and either one would be
just fine.

The only things u need to get ur FP taken is the FP
notice and a valid photo ID.

I dont know what you are getting at...Faxed copy
or something like that..!!?
 
Question

Lets say i have address of X on the I-485, i am not living there, using the address as i might have to move, X is in different City than myself, can i go for FP in my city or i necessarily have to travel to X City for a day !! :confused:
 
Getnkk,

I guess your question have been asked and answered before.

In general, I would think, you CAN go to a different city. At the
same time, I dont think there is any standard procedure the
folks at local offices follow. The guys at that particular office may
or may not allow u. You may also have to show some genuine
reason as to why you are in a different city.

I got the FP notice addressed to me. I just updated my attorney about it. I don't think he received a copy.

2nd EAD Not yet filed.

I am still waiting

My ND is 5/22/03 and I am still waiting for my 1st FP. I moved recently and filed AR-11 and sent a copy of I-485 receipt notice, copy of AR-11 and a covering letter reg my address change to Nebraska Service Center. Then I called 1-800 # and changed the address.

I got a reply saying that my address has been updated.

I was hoping my address change w'd trigger something. Hhmmmm. Checking the mails daily and see only 0% APR cards pre-approval mails. Totally frustating.
 
Finger print submitted

Today we submitted finger prints. One hurdle out of the way. Now the wait begins.....I wonder how long it takes them to update the web site case status to resumed.
 
In my case my wife finished her 1st FP during May 2003. I am still waiting for my 1st FP (I am the primary applicant).

The only difference between mine and her case is we applied for EAD and AP with her 485 and just 485 for me (I was using my H1B). I don’t know any relation between EAD application and 1st FP
