no employment

Guys,
My 485 is pending over a year. I might be laid off soon. I know I have to find a new job asap in case there is RFE. My question is: If my 485 is approved without RFE and I am unemployed when it is approved, will my Greencard be fine? will my unemployment cause any problem in the future? My case is EB1(outstanding researcher). Thanks in advance

u should be fine if u dont get RFE. remeber GC is for future job and ur employer has informed USCIS that they have intensions to employ you after ur 485 is approved.

I am in the same scenario as 48503. If the compnay lays me off and
report it to USCIS even if the GC has been approved can USCIS revoke the GC?

Also my I140 is approved and I485 is pending for more than a year.

If I get laid off at this stage can my company reuse the approved labor for someone else(even after I140 approval). This offcourse will invalidate the whole GC process.

Just my 2 cents ...
If your company lets you go, the right thing to do is find a "similar" job and use AC21 (inform CIS with a letter from the new company etc.). If you dont find a job or dont inform CIS, you might be sent an RFE or NOID. You should have a "similar" job at least at that point in time.
The company will not be able to revoke 140 and use the labor for someone else. But, their attempt to do so will increase the chances of you getting an RFE or NOID.

Good luck.
