I had a citizenship interview on Sep 19th 2012
I Passed the English and Civic test
the IO asked some basic questions like
no immigration problems , no IRS issues , no criminal activities etc etc
then IO begin to review my application and he has a objection on the time outside USA section
he told me that there is a problem here and i can't approve at this time - he also told me that he can't make any decision because every case is checked (i guess he wanted a supervisor approval/denial etc)
he informed me that i can't take 2 trips outside USA for more then 180 days , he also informed me that he can ignore my last trip which was exactly 180 days .then he informed me that we will proceed with the rest of the application and complete the remaining process .he walk through rest of my N-400 application and in the end he gave me a letter
with "no decision has been made yet" and he wrote by hand two trips of 180 days or more W/I 5 years (with in 5 years) .he informed me that he will try to reply within 30 days of the interview .the rule is about 60 days
its my mistake i read the hand written line at my home and i was shock
within last 5 years i have a one trip outside USA which lasted for 5 months and 29 days or exactly 180 days
i wrote a letter to the IO and tried to clarify my position .
is there anything to worry about or should i write a letter again to the IO
or contact a supervisor ..
any advise will be helpful
