Awaiting approval

Registered Users (C)
Yet another day has passed without any approvals(or is it too early?). Per rupnet, the last approval was on Nov 19th. That makes it 13 days without any approval including today.

This is a complete drought

You are absolutely right!!!

There are no approvals since VSC officially said that they are processing 10/1/2001 applications two weeks ago.

God knows why this stoppage yet again. There is some talk that they are installing new software to ensure fool-proof secusrity checks.

Honestly whatever be the case I hop this is resolved in the next few days. The most action one could see is from now till the 20th and then forget anything major happening till 2003. There are at best another 14 working days till the 20th.

We will see back dated approvals

when the upgrades are done. I read at different places that approvals are going on. The results are being held till the upgrades are through.

gc791188, we will see if that is true...

ikiwisi - old school thinking - i'll know it when i see it....

:) :) :)

Backdated approvals...

If they (INS) mail back-dated approvals after software update is over, as someone here mentioned above, in some cases this may create a hitch - especially to those who go for PP stamping after a week or two of receiving the approval notices. In that case, they might require a new IBIS check before PP can be stamped since 30-day would have passed from the (back-dated) approval date. Minor problem though as IBIS checks are pretty quick now (15 to 60 minutes).

Let's see if, when and what happens next.

Best wishes,

Jigesh

Homeland Security Department

Hey Guys,

Do you think, passing the homeland security bill and moving INS into this new department will effect the I485 processing.

INS new name will be Bureau of Citizenship & Immigration.

I have heard Bush govt, wants to fill in the 170,000 positions under Homeland Security by the end of 2003. And wants to make this new department fully functional by then, with INS under this new department.

Whatever they do, I just pray to GOD, they should not stop processing our cases.

Wish You all Good Luck

A ray of hope

Whenever the approvals dry out, INS comes back with a bang. I'm hoping to see November approvals whenever they resume.

LOL awaiting

There are still tons of Septembers left.

But Its good to note that you are still maintaining optimism despite all this pain and agony! :)

God, let this waiting end !!!

At this point i don't care if I am approved, denied or sent to the guillotine. I want to move on with my life.

Get it over with ...

By the time they upgrade the systems with new software, it will
be so late that there will be another update patch waiting, so
there goes another couple of weeks ( Don't be mad at me, I have worked on couple of Govt. projects and I know how they work).

God when will this be over with?

That makes it 14 days

without approval.

Patiencegc: As your name suggests. You have to be patient to achieve something. That's the way life is. I understand that it's stressful and frustrating but there's no choice.
