No annual audit...Nevertheless No approvals !!

No Annual USCIS File Audit This Year

The USCIS disclosed to the AILA that unlike the practice in the previous years, the USCIS will not conduct the annual file audit this year. It is thus unlikely that processing of cases will be frozen for the file audit in October or later this year. It is a good news for the immigrant community.

As someone rightly said

They are preparing for the Diwali approaching end of this month.

Then Thanksgiving in Nov.

Christmas in Dec.

New Year Celebration in Jan.

So there will definitely some movement in Feb. ' 04

The bottom line is BCIS does not know what the F.. they are doing. I called BCIS to find out about the status of my I-140 EB-2 (Oct 21, 2002). The well informed customer service rep did not know whether I am EB-21 or EB-31 etc so I asked her to tranfer me to the Immigration Officer. This a...hole came up with an amazing answer "You are either EB-21 or EB-31!!!".
