NIW receipt looks wrong

Today I got the receipt notice for my NIW I-140. I was so surprised to see the Section on my receipt is: Soviet Scientists, Sec. 203 (b)(2)(A), P.L. 102-509. Does anyone know what it means? Will it affect my application? BTW, I am not from Soviet Union at all.
 
My friend who applied for NIW earlier this year also received a similar notation on his I-140 receipt (from CSC). He too was not from (nor had ever been to) the former Soviet Union. His application was approved without any problems - so I personally do not think you need to worry. Just in case, you may want to check with your attorney though.

.. I filed my EB2-NIW ..in first week of August and I also have the same reciept for I-140...it says "Soviet Scientists"...I did write to
the BCIS regarding this..but no reply yet...

..I filed at TSC...where did you file... ?

I filed to NSC. I called BCIS immediately after I found the error and they promised to correct it. However, I haven't heard anything since then.
 
..I am surprised that you could call BCIS and got your error
resolved... as far as I know you can only call the National call line...which is hopeless..and nither they do not have access to your personal records...nor they can connect to regional centers..

How did you get to talk to the officer at your service center ?

Also..I got FP notice within 10 days of filing my NIW...did you ?

That's too funny - there must be some serious cable-bungling in the system - what will happen next ?
 
I got the same problem in TSC

My notice date is Nov 7th 2003.

Said "Soviet Scientist", not for me at all!!!

I called national customer line and was told I would heard from TSC 3 to 4 weeks.

Any other suggestions?
