NIW-I Made a big mistake and how to correct it?

I sent out NIW to CSC in Nov., filed by myself.

Just found out that my 4 reference letters not enough...

I will try to collect more letters, but how I can send this additonal information to CSC? Just with a cover letter to explain and copy of 140 receipt?

I think the matter is not how many, the matter is who wrote them.

I am not sure that you can send additional letters to your file withot official request from CSC.

Nothing you can do about it right now. Wait for RFE. What you want to do is collect as many extra recos as possible from senior scientists, CEOs etc, scientists who have not collaborated with you, those who dont know you etc. While the number of recos are usually not important, what is important is what is written in those recos. A general rule of thumb is that you need about 8 or 9 very good recos.

They say three-four very good letters may be quite enough. It is not easy to collect 8-9 very good recommendations. From another hand even 9 mediocre letters may not help.

I submitted 6 letters.

Did you apply NIW by self-petiton? If yes, did you use DIY kit? Would you like to recommend the kit you use if possible?
