NIW for Phisicians working in HPSA

Hi everyone;
Presently I am doing my 3 year term. Completing next yr end. My employer is willing to give contract for another 2 more years. But my doubt is how the clock start, like, 5 year term stats only from the date of I-140 approval or will they consider my already completed time in H1-B.
Would appreciate experts opnions.

I just got approval for my NIW/I-140 I have read the law in details in the fed register Five year is counted from the day Jis converted to H I am finishing my three years in Oct this year.

Congrats. How long did it take to get the approval? Is it possible to share your documents details you submitted to INS.

It took almost 7 months for the approval INS issued a RFE they wanted a letter from State department of health (which was subbited at the time of filling)and five year contract(My lawyer by mistake forgot to send the amended contract once they recd the documents it was approved in about three weeks.

U really donot need a lawyer I got letter from state department on my own as I did my J waiver 3 years back on my own But hired a lawyer to file the case Which stae r u in

NIW & 5 year requirement

I completed the 5 year requirement in a MUA this March, but only got the I-140 approved in April. My contract will end soon, and I would like to move to an area which is not underserved while awaiting greencard approval. Is there anyone out there in a similar situation?
