NIW doing VA locums

I have completed 3 out of 5 years on NIW in an underserved area. For the remaining 2 years -

Is it possible to work in locum jobs in VA- usually these are 6m to 1 year at a time

can VA issue letter of support for for NIW doing these locum jobs.

All answers appreciated.
