After all the waiting, all they can do is to delay further and further.

EB2 self-sponsored NIW. I guess they want to verify my NIW case.

Maybe like for all NIW cases, they want to talk personally .
It beats me why CIS has to transfer NIW/EB1 cases so indiscrminately especially when RFE has been answered for.
anyway, did you take up the job that you were thinking of starting in september.
My guess is that since you were a Ph.D student when you filed 140, they just want to see if your previous research is the same as the work you do now.

I do research in the same area until now.

I am afraid by the time they interview me I will no longer work in the same area.

I did not take the postdoc job yet since it requires permanent residency. The offer was already hold for me for half year. I don't think my employer can wait even longer.

Life has to move on.
