Thanks to every one who provided useful information or well-intended comments (no matter positive or negative). It was a nice experience exchanging information with you people. It is much easier to communicate with people like this: willing to help, not eager to do unnecessary and baseless judgments, and show respect to other people who deserve it. Negative comments are perfectly acceptable, as long as they are about the question being asked, and well intended (I hope I¡¯m not asking too much here). And I believe most people on this board, who supposedly are well educated, shouldn¡¯t find it difficult to put your help in a proper manner (again, no matter positive or negative comments).
Finally a brief point on the independent reference letter issue. My desire is to avoid independent letters, and my question is whether the explanation I suggested in my first post sounds acceptable by BCIS. This thread has gone long enough. So if I may, I suggest it stops here unless someone else really has such experience (sending a similar case to BCIS) and wants to share information. And if you do, please do it in a proper manner (hint: please don¡¯t say things that are just unnecessary on this board, such as you should ask a lawyer who will charge you).
Thanks again for people who provided well-intended information.
