Our lawyer told we can apply for I-485 only after three years of serving in an underserved area on H-1 visa. But it seems that if
we apply for a new job, we have to start our new job on H-1 visa and reapply for I-140. If we have applied for I-485 after three years from the previous job, should we reapply for I-485 from the new job or not. If anyone knows about this , I would really thank them.
Also please can anybody tell me when can one start working on a work permit?
