Next steps after getting Green card

Just wanted to confirm if there are any steps once you receive the GC in hand?
I did not apply for advance parole and have to travel soon. I should be getting my GC in another 2-3 weeks.

Once you get your GC in hand, ss there anything that needs to be done to travel outside states?

Just make sure your national passport is valid

Update your status with Social Security (they will send you a new card without the employment restriction wording on it). File a new I-9 with your employer (if you are working).
