According to TSC, processing date for I-485 is April 1, 2002 (fools day). However, it is taking them 850-900 days to finish this Herculean task of adjusting/changing the status by an approval/denial of I-485 petitions.
As per 17th September 2004, it took them to approve 896 days (very efficient 4 days before final cap (900) on number of days they may take).
TSC still has room of 4 days, unless they advance number of days beyond 900. Therefore, now on they may take one day to approve cases file in one day (one to one, FIFO these are some fancy words we like to hear and practiced by TSC). Logical thinking is that cases filed on April 4, 2002 must be approved on or before September 20, 2004. This raises THE question, what would be the next cut-off date when they publish (if they do ?) new processing date some time first or second week of October 2004.
My guess is May 01, 2002.
Good to see posts from you all. I was very active during 2001-2002 but now I am a silent watcher and visit this web-site once in two-three days.
Good luck to you all
