Hi

I recd my Green card on Jan 10, 2004. Can I apply by Oct 15th 2008?
I live in San Francisco bay area in fremont. Should I send the application to LA service center?

I am applying based on employement based GC.

Should I hire a lawyer? Or is the process easy?

I have 2 traffic tickets for speeding and no selective service since I was on F1 visa till I was 27. Right now I am 36.

Also, how long is it taking these days to get the citizenship in SFO area?

You can apply up to 90 days before 5th year anniversary which would make it Oct 12 2008, but it's always a good idea to leave a day or two flexibility to avoid potential issues.
