Hello,
I am very new at this. I know nothing, including abbreviations.
I am a US Citizen and I got married one month ago. My wife is here in the USA on a F-1 visa that is expired, but she has a valid I-20. I am not sure what is the correct path to follow. All of the paperwork I have seen assumes that she is living in her home country, but she is living in the USA.

What is the path we following? The info we have is:
1) I-130 and I 485 at same time
2) file for advance parole and work petition as well.

Is there a link that has a list of all the abbreviations on this web site?

paxons1,
if she is in US legally, you can file I-130 and I-485 together. That is mentioned in the documentation for "How to apply for Permanent Residency" in the FAQ are of BCIS site... Once they are accepted, then she can stay in US. She will be in adjustment of Status period. You can apply the EAD and the AP(advance parole) to travel outside US.

Couple of good sites to review :

the abbrevations you will pick in time.:D

goodluck
