Newark stamping experience - some questions

Folks,

I got my passport stamped at Newark, NJ. My experience didn\'t quite
match what I read or heard in this dicussion board. So I want to share
it with you.

1. We were told to go to the back side of the building and wait in a
queue meant only for people with appointments. We were directed
to Rm No 116.

2. The lady at the counter made me and my wife sign and put finger print
on some form. She put the paper under a metal frame and that provided windows for signing and putting index finger print. Then she stapled it with all other documents she asked for (the aproval notice, payroles etc.
and an envelop in which she put small items like photos, I94, EAD card etc.) She sent us to Rm No 1022. She also gave us two copons.

3. At Rm No 1022 when our coupon numbers were called we had to go to
the counter and produce our passports and the stapled documents we got
downstairs. Our passports were stamped. We were told to expect plastic
cards between three months and one year.

Interesting thing is I was never told to go to Rm 334 as the aproval letter
said.

When I was waiting at Rm No 1022 ( it was a long wait for two and
half hours. I was not smart to go early. Going at 8-00 am was indeed
a big mistake ) I peeped into the form I signed and put finger prints
on. There were places to put name, address etc. I asked if I should
fill in. The receptionist said with very firm voice "DON"T TOUCH IT"
So I didn\'t get a chance to make a change of address. So my questions
are :

1. How can I do change of address? Is calling INS the only way? I could
never succeed to get an IIO.

2. How can I track my plastic card? Should I keep trying the same EAC
number I had for I485? When and how are the messages expected to change?
