Hi,
Here is my N400 application details.

Mailed application 12/01/03 (approx)
Priority date 12/10/03 (approx)
Figerprinting 02/10/04 (approx)
Interview 08/28/04 (scheduled)

I received a checklist of documents from INS. I understand that there are cases where the interviewing officer asking for more documents than listed in the checklist. I was wondering if anybody can point me to a more comprehensive checklist (checklist for an ultra cautious person) in this forum or elswhere.

Thanks.

Asha

Normally they send a paper (complete check list for all types of cases). Use that if you want to be extra careful.
Recently I had the interview and oath in Newark. The officer just looked at the passport and GC. The security looked at the driver's license

i've interview scheduled for Aug 11th at Newark office. Just wondering does oath take place same day? If so what do i need to take with me?

Generally the oath is also on the same day. Other than those mentioned in the interview letter nothing special is needed for oath (My experience)

3 months residency in the state

hi every one
is the 3 months residency in the state requirement mean that some body has to be physically present in that state?

suppose that some one live in new york and he travel outside the USA but without breaking the rules.

in another word:

some one get his green card on 01/1999 and he was residing in new york
he travel outside the US on 08/2002 and he has address and ID of new york
come back to the US(new york) on 12/2002

can he apply for cicizenship on 12/2002 or he has to wait 3 months
