Good mornings friends. New week has begun, lets see if this week will be encouraging for us or it will be like many other weeks which went by just waiting. Good luck everyone and God bless.

i131 waiting period up to 999 days???

I checked my status online for renewal of i131 Advanced Parol Visa, I wpplied for it back in 09-19-02 and until nowm I have not heard anything from them, when ever i checked the online message it always said, 235 to 265 days. today I checked and the number was changed to 965 to 999 days, does any one know whats going on, and if any one knows how I can contact a local congress man office for Illinois in charge of immigration to see if they can do something.

ADJUSTEE

are you trying to make us feel better, or you do have a calculated guess, do you know something we don't Please Answer!!!!

thanks

I dearly hope so, Adjustee!! Let's see how it turns out.

BTW I did not see any approvals yesterday, did I miss something or there infact are no approvals posted?

For whatever it's worth, I just spoke to my Attorney and discussed my situation. According to her, RFE should be adjudicated within 90 days after the response is received. If not then the Attorney can call NSC and ask for the reason for the application being overdue. At that point if the response is not satisfactory then the Attorney can get the service center liasion involved and the service center has to clear the application without any further delay.

INS received my response to RFE on Jan 3rd which means I should get the approval before Apr 3rd or if not I am going to resort to the above procedure.

If anyone outthere is waiting for more than 90 days after INS received the response, please explore this option and post your experiences in this thread please.

Good luck everyone.

this is the option that I'm going through right now, We started talking to the Liaison for the NSC two weeks ago, it took us a week to get him to answer the phone call, then we are giving him another week to solve the problem, I applied to Renew my AP in 09-19-02, so it has been 6 months and just now after I pushed the lwayer to do, she finaly decided to call the Liaison. He did answer the first call and he did say that our concerns are valid and he should get in the middle of it and request a Supervisor from the NSC to review the case, hopfully I will find out this week. He did say though that the NSC were instructed not to apporiove any cases for people from nationalities that have to go through the special registration, but he also said that this was not true any more, since the INS were instructed to proceed with the approvals regardless of the Special Registration, since most people with Advance Parol Visa are not required to Register. So he does think that there are some confusion in the case and he promissed to get in the middle of it and try to resolve the issue through a supervisor. I think we should all do that today and ask all the lawyers to do the same things, maybe then we can make sure our voice is heard, I will keep you guys posted if I hear anything

thank!!!!

The Liaison is the Lawyer that is setting in a commite from the Laywer association. he is the only one allowed to speak to the NSC directly. The only person who can contat the Liaison is the Lawyer. Some laywers are the liaison them selves.

Finished 90 days of waiting

Cinci2002,

Its more than 90 days since our rfe responses reached the INS and still when I call, the IIO tells me to wait for another month :( I tried to contact our paralegal regarding this with no much +ve info from her. Hope what you said is true.

Good luck to all of us.

Danber, Please keep us posted of the progress on your case. Thanks for your posting.

mnt, To add to what danber said... Service center liasion is an attorney who represents AILA(American Immigration Lawers Assoc) and he is the sitting member on the service center activity committee. He is the only person who can ask the service center directly as to why a case is overdue beyond a reasonable time and it is my understanding that the service center is obligated to give him a reasonable response. We can not directly contact a liasion, an attorney can.

PK77, If I were you I would talk to the attorney directly and have her push the case to the liasion.

Good luck everyone. Hang in there :)

Alright guys, Lets do it one more time...

A New week and still hoping that we get our approvals soon... well, last week was a good week since we saw lot of approvals for July/Aug'01 waiters. That is really encouraging, and if the trend continues rest of the July/Aug'01 waiters should get their approvals this week and the latest by end of next week. Letz hope for the best. Good luck everyone.

RD 08/01
ND 09/01
FP 12/01
RFE 10/02 (received date)

It is more than 90 days since the receipt of our RFE. No approval yet. And called IIO, told it may take another 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, or even longer for the approval. No idea about 90 days adjudication.
