New TN for 3 years

OK I am ready to get my additional 2 TNs for my 2 new part time employers.

My question:
Is that fine if I take 2 TN packages with me (1 for 1 year and 1 for 3 years)

If somehow they reject my 3 years package I can quickly handover them my 1 year TN package?

is this a good idea to test if they are letting people having 3 years TNs or not?

thanks,

I would not, since it betrays the employer's intention to have you for more than 1 year, which is still not the law.

Much as we would all like to see the 3-year TN, it serves no purpose to antagonize the CBP, since they have nothing to do with bringing the 3-year TN into being.

any 'testing' should be done at the I-129 level, and then only when the I-129 reflects the 3-year term.

what is this ? do they approve 3-year TN visa now ?
My new job which I have to get TN for is in fact a 3-year program, may I take advantage of that ?

If you read Nelsona answer you will see that 3 years term isn't a law than TN is still 1 year term.

Hi Nelsona,
you seem to know about I-129 and I'm right now under a 1-Y TN Visa and i want to extend it to a 3 year. as per the file i mentioned in my previous Post, it can be done through USCIS, filing the right documentation. I already went through and found I-129 is the right one.
I read somewhere it can take a long time to be approved?
My TN visa will expire on april 23, what is your knowledge?
When will i have to apply for my extension?
How long does it takes to go through?
I will appreciate any comment,
Regards,
Fher
