I am already on a TN and if I have another offer from another company who are willing to do a TN can I apply for the TN by mail.

Will the new TN application affect my existing TN in case of a denial?

Thanks,

You may apply by submitting an I-129 by mail. You must howevr wait until that one is approved before beginning work, so to avoid wait you either pay for premium processing (+$1000), or don't bother with mail and just go to the border.

Denial of the second TN will not affect the first.

NelosnA,
Thanks for the reply.
When can I resign my job on TN1 and start work on the TN2.I am assuming that I should be able to see the case status as approved online for TN2 which would be a good time to give my employer notice of one / two weeks.Between the online status and me receiving the new TN by mail would be my notice period. Am I correct?

Timelines for I 129 approvals from USCIS web site. Are these the right numbers. Will an employer wait so long?

USCIS National Goal - 2.0 Month(s)

USCIS National Average - 11.0 Month(s)

Texas Service Center - 32.5 Month(s)

TN's take about 2 months, or 2 weeks by premium processing.

I wouldn't wait 2 months for an employee who had the option of getting a TN tomorrow.

I don't much care about notice; it is never required for the employee to give notice, but sure, once you see the approval, you can give notice and start work at #2 whenever you want after they get the I-129 approval.

I would be going to the border, getting TN, and then give notice/leave etc -- not waiting for 2 months for I-129 approval.
