    RFE Replied as per AVM on 02/25/02

I don\'t know what is Going on with my case

ND: 03/01, FP: 05/01, First RFE: 02/19 only for my wife. AVM said all three, me, my wife and son have get RFE issured on Feb 08. On Mar 06, called INS, reissue RFE for myslef and my son. So far, I have not received any thing. I am going to call again next week. I don\'t know if I have only one RFE or three RFE.

I am awaiting a VisaScreen certificate and my certified divorce papers. All the other requirements of the RFEs have been satisfied. I am allowed to send in a receipt stating that I applied for the VisaScreen since the INS knows that the ICHP is backlogged (like themselves). My wife and myself will have to redo our fingerprints (mine expire at the end of this month and my wife has had 2 FP rejections). My guess is that the INS will either grant us the PR because of the age of our PD or transfer the files to the Kansas City INS where it will sit for another 5 months.

My 485 case was just transferred from VSC to Kansas City INS office to schedule an interview. I heard some saying that it will take another 4-5 months for the local office to open your file. Did you hear the same thing? Do you do know someone had similar misfortune? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

My wife and daughter\'s case were approved on March 20th 2002.

RFE Replied 3/1/02

RFE Details : BC affidavits for my wife and we had to redo the medicals for my daughter as the dum Physician did not check tha appropriate boxes for TB Test

The approximate wait time from receipt of RFE to Approval was 20 days.

looks like RFE stands for request for evidence

Usually RFE is needed when some critical info is missing or needs an update...My case wasn\'t asked for any RFE. It just got transferred. My attorney said it takes 4-5 months for Kansas City office to schedule an interview. I guess it\'s bad luck then.

Anybody from KC area in the same boat?
 
Thanks, what is your RD, may be overall you may wait for the same time as a non transferred case?

My case would have been approved by now if not for such a bad luck. RD 6/18/01, ND 9/8/01, FD 11/20/01, Transferred 3/18/01

Replied on March 6, AVM updated to ack it on March 13,
Approved on March 21st -- 8 days, I can not believe it.

Approved after RFE

My case has been approved on March 20, 2002. Here is the details:

1st RFE: Dec. 31, 2001. Regarding the medical report. Missing some tests
1st RFE response: Jan. 15, 2002
AVM ack: Jan. 17, 2002
AVM message: 2nd RFE issued on Feb. 14, 2002. Other test result missing in the medical report
2nd RFE: receive the notice on Feb. 22, 2002 from my lawyer
2nd RFE response: Feb. 25, 2002
AVM ack: March 1, 2002
Approval message: March 21, 2002. Saying this case has been approved on March 20, 2002.

Just give some courages to the people who got their RFE. Don\'t worry about the case unless you have a specific reason. Preparing the response carefully and waiting for the approval.

I was seeking the information from here to comfort myself. I really appreciate. This time I wish I could let someone else find the peace from my case too.

What the AVM should say?

I got RFE last week for job letter and I20, replied last week and they received 3/25 per AVM, the AVM says"it will take 300 to 330 days to process this kind of case, however, because preliminary process is done, it will take 330 days. You will receved written decision". Is the message the standard format? I don\'t understand it very well. Please help.
